The Date
-Elixir Piyush Baral
A fine morning it was, the air seemed fresher too,
Gardens seemed like canvas with the flowers red and blue
Bees playing along, the scene one hell of a kind,
Or maybe it was just that I had a happy mind.
After all, it was a day of fate, I had a date.
Got dressed up, hair messed up, didn't wanna be too late.
Got out and sent a text, "Where are you?" and moved steady,
'cause I was sure I'd get a reply which said, "Getting ready ;)"
Set off to pick her up in the sideways near her place,
Meanwhile, me dying to see her cuteness; heaven's bless.
There she was, waiting, dresses fabulous as well,
And oh my! to her beauty thousand rainbows would look pale.
A shy smile she gave, her colongue in the air,
Brief hugs and " I missed you"s and we head off to the fair
oh!what a time it was, holding hands in lover's zone.
Eating double scooped icecream in a single cone.
Playing games, dilly-dallys and playful this and thats,
A day in each other's arms with some mirthful silly chats
A fun filled day ends faster though, sometimes you hate the dusks
Which end the day, sun fade away and separate two musks.
Took her back to point of rendezvous, under the beam of moon,
Regular goodbye messages and a promise to meet soon.
She calls me near to say something, so i move on close,
but I ended up getting something else that reversed my blood flows.
That awesome moment of a date when she lands a peck on cheek,
and your heart pumps like landslide which is falling on a creek.
That very blissful moment of your life in heaven's sight,
when she gives you wings to fly and mountain pushing might.
My heart still beating hard, I planned to hug her real tight,
So raised my both hands up and forth, but she was out of sight.
Confused as hell I look around to find myself in bed,
look at watch to know its morning and its 7:38.
The fun, love and happiness, all now mixed in sand
and all my wishes that came true only in my dreamy land.
There was no fair, no fun, no games, no chats, no ice nor cream,
The happy time and fun we had seemed nothing but a dream.
Such countless dreams do pass by me, wishing her to be just mine
Still sucking up all mops and woes and I pretend to be fine
Hoping to see better days and to mend heart's cut and pierce,
Getting back to bed to my only friend, The pillow full of tears.
